What I collect
Nothing from ordinary browsing. The site has no analytics script, tag manager, behavioral tracking, cookie banner, or login. Every visit is anonymous to me.
The hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp for short-term operational and security purposes. I do not read those logs or associate them with a person.
What I do not collect
- Names, emails, or contact information unless you choose to send an email or subscribe.
- Behavioral analytics, page-view tracking, scroll depth, or click maps.
- Advertising or remarketing identifiers.
- Personalization profiles.
Newsletter
The newsletter is double opt-in. When you submit the form, your email is stored in Firebase Firestore in the EU region eur3, and a confirmation email is sent through Resend. Your subscription becomes active only after you click the confirmation link.
The subscriber record contains your email address, consent timestamp, and the IP address and user agent used to subscribe. Those last two fields are retained as proof of consent for GDPR. I do not share, sell, or sync this list with another service.
Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also request, export, or delete your data, or email imlogan.dev@gmail.com.
Data retention
Pending subscriptions are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically. Confirmed subscriber records remain while the subscription is active. Unsubscribing deletes the record immediately. Standard server logs may remain with Vercel for a short operational period.
International data transfers
Firebase and Google Cloud store subscriber data in the EU. Resend processes transactional email through US infrastructure. Both services provide data processing agreements that include Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to the United States under GDPR Article 46.
Your GDPR rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. The fastest route is the data request page. It sends a verification email, then displays the stored record and offers immediate deletion. You can also email me, and I will handle the request manually within 30 days.
External links
This site links to third-party services including Steam, the App Store, GitHub, X, Instagram, and itch.io. Those services have their own tracking and privacy policies.
RSS feed
The RSS feed is a plain XML file. A feed reader requests it like any other page, with no extra tracking on my end.
Local storage and cookies
The site sets no cookies and does not read or write localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. The site repository also retains the file history.
